Descendants of the Penshalt that fled to the sea when the Titans fell, the Urthendrain established themselves as merchants and traders after driving the Sea Kin to the brink of extinction. They live among the islands now, some dwelling in cities, but most sailing on massive ships larger than most cities.

The Urthendrain are physically similar to the Penshalt, though their skin is typically darker shades of tan and their hair favors lighter browns, grays, or blonde.
