The Kin were the first race to arrive on Khes’yc that didn’t evolve naturally. Created by the Great Dragons, they are diverse and divided by which Dragon they owed their patronage.

The High Kin are the followers of Rylvia, and obsess with physical beauty. Both males and females hold themselves to standards of beauty, and they often will not enter battle without taking the time to don their makeup first. Their hair varies through darker shades of brown and black, and their skin is pale. Their eyes can be any color of brown, blue, green, gray, or black.

The Desert Kin are the followers of Altavar, and believe that only through skill and study can they earn the pride of their patron. Desert Kin chose a profession at a young age, and forgo all training and education that does not support their chosen career. Their hair and eyes are almost always black, and their skin is usually dark brown or black.

The Sea Kin are the followers of Toug, and trust only in their own strength and courage. They are a seafaring people, shrewd merchants, and skilled warriors. While some of their people frequently raid the other Kin and the Fey, the majority of their people attempt to trade and live peacefully with the other races. Their hair is dark blonde or light brown, and their skin is dark, ranging through shades of tan.

All Kin are typically muscular and stand around 6 feet tall, with females being slightly shorter.
